Police Service Dogs
READY in ealy spring of 2012 - Two dual purpose PSDs, with narcotic detection training completed as well as apprehension work well established. Call us to indicate an interest.
Two pups are on their way to becoming Vancouver Police Service's next K9 Unit recruits. Scout was present at the opening of the new Canine Unit's facility in East Vancouver, and a younger relative, Link has joined the force as well. They are being raised by Sgt. Ray Wong, handler of Bear, and a relative of these 2 puppies. Bear won the Canadian Police Dog Championships in 2004. For pictures and story, follow this link.

Over the 30+ years of operation, we have been pleased to be able to provide law enforcement agencies with good working dogs. Most have been general duty dogs which are involved with tracking and apprehending if necessary, suspects fleeing or hiding after a criminal act. The ideal service dog is one that can stop a fleeing criminal and then moments later, be taken into a kindergarten class for a vist with children who wrap their arms around the dog. In other words, a good dog knows when it's at work and when there is no threat; they read situations well and are masters of body language. This is the nature of the dogs that we continue to strive for in our breeding program.
We are not, and have never been, interested in breeding dogs who could be a threat to their masters or for whom the public needs to be worried about in everyday situations. Of course, a great deal of this is the responsibility of the trainer and handler, but it helps to have great genetic material to work with.
Here are a few of the dogs who have retired.
