Narcotic Detection Services
VALIDATED NARCOTIC DETECTION DOGS
Our validator is a retired RCMP officer who was in charge of directing the training all of the RCMP's Narcotic and Explosive detection dogs at their K-9 facility in Innisfail, Alberta. His resume is available upon request. as are the validation testing results.
We are excited to offer this new service to Saskatchewan businesses and citizens. Our system, which involves breeding from top working lines, raising the puppies and then training them with their handler, ensures a very effective working team. Contrast this with a company that simply buys an already trained dog and matches it with a handler. A huge part of effective work is how well the handler is able to read the dog. Knowing all the signs each dog gives during its work, ensures accuracy and the ability to eliminate false indications. Being a part of that training process is essential in knowing the dog well and thus maximizing the team's effectiveness. We have acheived certification for 3 of our dog-handler teams to provide narcotic detection services for industry and for private individuals.

Our three teams of David handling Freya and Bravo, and Barry handling Xcaliber, have been tested and found to be effective in locating hides of
1. Marihuana,
2. Hashish,
3. Cocaine,
4. Crack cocaine, and
5. Heroin.
6. Crystal Meth
7. Magic Mushrooms - Psilocybin
Their validation includes certified finds in the following environments:
1. Open fields,
2. Business offices,
3. Cargo storage areas,
4. Luggage,
5. Lockers, and
6. Vehicles.
A. FOR INDUSTRY - Their usefulness lies in providing proof that a company has done its due dilligence in providing a work environment that is safe for its workers. Should an accident occur that was caused by an employee found to have been under the influence of an illicit drug, the company may be found liable. (Precedent cases available upon request) The fact that a company has clear policies regarding narcotic usage and has informed its employees that a canine team may search for hidden illicit drugs, protects that company from liability, as that company has addressed the problem dilligently. The costs of doing so are a fraction of what could be faced defending against such an action, let alone those faced with a finding of negligence.
Procedure - Upon booking a search of any facility, we ensure that employees are aware of the company's drug policies, including the possibility of a canine search at any time. A company official or security person(s) will be present for the duration of the search. Should an indication by a dog occur, the company official will be told that there is likely an illicit substance present at that location. Our dog handlers will not open any location that the dog indicates and our job is simply to inform the company official. Your company's policy will determine what steps will follow the discovery. We are never involved in any arrest or incarceration of any employee, but we are able to testify that a certified detection dog indicated that there was an illicit substance(s) at that location.

B. FOR SCHOOLS - Allowing illegal substances to be brought in and out of schools supports the gang industry, introduces students to threshold narcotic use, interferes with learning and leads young people to addiction. Costs to society are horrenduous, given loss of future productivity and the immense costs of treating or incarcerating future addicts and drug dealers. It is incumbent upon schools to identify and arrange help for those young people who are involved, or about to become involved, with drugs. Parents might well claim that schools do little to prevent their children from being introduced to drugs in this environment, since most schools choose not to acknowlege the problem.

C. FOR INDIVIDUALS - If you suspect a family member of being in the grip of illegal substance use, we can help you by pinpointing the location of the substance in your home, garage, or automobile. Once such a hide is discovered and the issue is out in the open, you may followup with appropriate actions, including getting help for the drug abuser.
IN GENERAL - It is NOT our job to inform authorities about our discoveries; we simply tell you whether or not drugs are present in your workplace or home. YOU and you alone, decide what actions folllow the discovery. All details remain completely confidential.
