What we do: We have developed a set of seminars that are designed to address the following aspects of canine behavior. These seminars are presented at various times and locations during different seasons and are also available on demand if you have an interested group. Most are accomplished with a morning's work and the cost is dependant upon the size of the group. Each seminar features individual coaching with the dog and handler team.
Are you considering adding a dog to your life? Have you decided whether a puppy or an adult dog would suit you best? Have you thought about which breeds or breed mixes that would suit your lifestyle most smoothly? Have you considered getting your dog from a breeder or from the dog pound or from a rescue organization? Do you know how to assess the temperament of a puppy or adult dog?
Depending on the breed you select, your dog will live
from 6 to 14 years. Selecting incorrectly can mean years of regret!
We'll help you make the right choice. 2. Optimizing Your New Puppy's Development. If you have decided to acquire a puppy, this seminar is designed to show you how to help your dog reach its full potential. Critical activities for those impressionable 6 - 14 weeks are discussed and practiced.
3. Improving Manners Seminar.
Do you have one or more dogs and do they have bad
manners, like jumping on people, pulling on the leash during walks, biting
the leash, terrorizing the neighbors, digging, or getting into the garbage? 4. Tracking Level I and II. 4. Tracking Level I and II Are you looking for something new to do with your dog that's fun and rewarding? Teaching her to track uses her strongest natural sense and gets you both out into the great outdoors. Practical uses include finding lost children and even lost car keys! 5. General Obedience. This seminar is directed toward a group of people who cannot attend our twice weekly set of classes or who are further away from Saskatoon than regular commuting allows. We will spend a minimum of one day and cover all of the obedience exercises required to complete a Novice Companion Dog degree according to the CKC. Two day seminars are also available and they provide more coaching and time for the owner and dog to better understand the exercises and have more practice at solving individual problems.
